What documents are required to file a failure to pay rent case?

To file a rent case we will need the following documents:

Lease agreement	Sometimes
Lead Certificate	If property was constructed before 1978 always
Dept of Defense(DOD) verification- This confirms your tenant is not in the millitary	Always
Rent Ledger	Always
Rental license	Always

Is the tenant notified when I file a rent case against them?
Yes. They will receive the 10-day notice of intent to file from us, and when the case is filled, they will receive a copy of the summons.
Do I need to attend the hearing once it is scheduled?
